About the job

Develop embedded firmware for Mind Robotics’ industrial robots, covering motor control, real-time scheduling, hardware interfaces, and communication between distributed components.

What you'll do

  • Write, test, and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and embedded processors; implement and debug communication protocols and peripherals.
  • Integrate sensors and actuators, develop real-time control loops, and collaborate on board bring-up and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Build firmware validation and hardware-in-the-loop tooling, and debug issues across firmware, hardware, and higher-level software.

What they ask for

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building firmware for physical systems such as robots, motors, or power electronics.
  • Fluency in C/C++ and/or Rust for embedded targets, including reading datasheets and writing drivers.
  • Hands-on RTOS experience and working knowledge of embedded protocols, microcontroller peripherals, sensor/actuator integration, and hardware/software debugging tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience with safety-critical or deterministic real-time systems, or field-oriented control (FOC).
  • Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems or Python scripting for test automation and hardware validation.

Tools

C/C++, Rust, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, CAN, EtherCAT, I2C, SPI

AI focus

Firmware enables the company’s physical AI robots to translate commands into motion; the role implements embedded control and hardware communication for those systems.
