Staff Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Design tenant onboarding, routing, transformations and views so new tenants can be added through configuration and metadata.
• Own data correctness, multi-tenant isolation, access controls, and safe schema and ontology evolution.
• Build agent-facing data access and reliability systems, and lead platform migrations and the path to real-time data capabilities.

What they ask for

• 5+ years in data/software engineering in a data-heavy context, with ownership of a production data platform at scale.
• Expert Python and SQL; deep experience with transformation and orchestration tooling.
• Strong grasp of analytical warehouses and transactional stores, plus a track record of multi-tenant design.
• Experience evolving a production schema, data model or ontology with versioning, migration and backward compatibility; willing to work onsite in NYC.

Nice to have

• Lakehouse or Spark experience; experience building a CDP, identity graph or reverse-ETL/activation system.
• Experience with streaming, data lineage, agentic or LLM infrastructure, or AI coding tools.

$237,000–$265,000 USD base salary
