About the job

Own and deliver a five-month electrical hardware project, improving MorphLabs’ EEG headset and integrating it with prosthetic or robotic hands.

What you'll do

  • Miniaturize boards and improve power management, battery life, and wireless performance through design changes and measurement.
  • Write and debug embedded firmware; bring up, test, and validate hardware with the research team.
  • Integrate the system with prosthetic or robotic hands and document repeatable builds and project findings.

What they ask for

  • Have designed and laid out at least one end-to-end board that worked and was used.
  • Demonstrate a hardware design made meaningfully smaller, cheaper, or lower power, with before-and-after measurements.
  • Have led board bring-up and be able to explain troubleshooting and fixes; have written firmware running on hardware you designed.
  • Show strong electrical engineering fundamentals, rapid prototyping, and independent ownership.

Nice to have

  • Flight hardware, personally tuned and measured wireless designs, or battery-powered devices with measured runtime improvements.
  • Low-noise analog or biosignal acquisition; hardware used by others; published research, patents, or a public build log.
