About the job
Lead research on EEG-to-movement decoders, taking ideas through experiments and models deployed in real-time prosthetic and robotic control systems.
What you'll do
- Develop and evaluate decoders that transfer across people, sessions, and devices, adapt to new users, and handle signal drift.
- Design self-supervised pretraining, online closed-loop decoding, data-collection tasks, and rigorous benchmarks.
- Translate research into reproducible live-system models and use findings to inform headset and signal-quality decisions.
What they ask for
- Evidence of research contributions, such as papers, reports, or code, with a clear account of personal work.
- Experience building and training models on noisy time series and explaining model choices, debugging, and generalization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle shifting data and conduct rigorous, reproducible experiments.
- Applied math and statistics knowledge, including probability, optimization, linear algebra, and uncertainty.
Nice to have
- Experience with biosignals, neural data, or non-invasive BCIs; real-time or closed-loop systems.
- Experience with self-supervised learning, pretraining, or research involving limited data.
