Partners with corporate functions to assess risk, design and improve internal controls, support SOX and audit readiness, and remediate control deficiencies.
What you'll do
- Serve as the risk and controls partner for assigned functions, initially including Tax, Treasury and HR.
- Lead risk assessments, maintain control documentation, and guide control design, execution and remediation.
- Support SOX walkthroughs and audits, and identify opportunities to improve controls through technology, automation, data and AI-enabled tools.
What they ask for
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, financial risk, business-process controls, finance transformation or a combination of these areas.
- Meaningful in-house experience, including first-line business experience or embedded support for process owners.
- Strong practical knowledge of SOX 404, ICFR, COSO, risk and control matrices, walkthroughs, control effectiveness and deficiency remediation; strong written and verbal English.
Nice to have
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, Dutch RA or RC, CIA, CISA or equivalent certification.
- Experience in a listed, multinational or SOX-regulated company; US GAAP or IFRS; enterprise-system implementations; or applying data analytics, automation or AI to controls.
Pay
$110,000 — $160,000 USD (base salary)
