About the job

Design and evaluate camera modules for FPV systems, selecting imaging components and establishing supplier and manufacturing standards to deliver consistent performance at scale.

What you'll do

  • Select image sensors, ISPs, video transmission, and supporting electronics based on system requirements; define optical parameters and oversee lens sourcing and alignment.
  • Set supplier component, assembly, and testing criteria, and plan and run repeatable camera and competitor-sample tests.
  • Develop and maintain software tools to collect and analyze test data and calculate camera performance metrics.

What they ask for

  • CAD familiarity (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience releasing parts for mass production.
  • Proficiency writing code (Python or similar) for test automation, data analysis, and performance-metric calculation.
  • Hands-on lab experience characterizing cameras/imagers and working knowledge of imaging signal flow from imager through ISP to video output.

Nice to have

  • Working-level knowledge of embedded software in imager chips, ISP, CV tools, and functionality.
  • Demonstrated cradle-to-grave camera product experience or personal FPV drone hobby.

Pay

$111,000 - $155,500 USD (base salary)
