About the job

Build and lead workload modeling that connects AI applications to Neurophos’s photonic accelerator architecture, software stack, and pre-tape-out functional models.

What you'll do

  • Bring up AI inference workloads on functional models and connect them to the programming model and runtime.
  • Co-design architecture and analyze performance, energy, and bottlenecks using models and RTL simulation.
  • Set modeling methodology for a workload area, maintain interface and register specifications, and mentor engineers.

What they ask for

  • 8+ years in hardware or functional modeling, performance modeling or simulation, or accelerator performance analysis; graduate research may count.
  • Track record of shipping a model or study another team depended on.
  • Strong grounding in computer architecture, microarchitecture, memory systems, and AI accelerators.
  • Modern C++ (C++17 or later), Python, and experience working inside a discrete-event, cycle-approximate, or cycle-accurate simulator.

Nice to have

  • PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
