About the job

Designs, formulates, and characterizes targeted lipid nanoparticles to deliver nucleic acid payloads to cells and tissues beyond the liver.

What you'll do

  • Design LNP compositions and conjugation chemistries for targeting molecules, and plan their purification.
  • Test targeting lipids using SAR-based approaches; use experimental data to guide tLNP design and optimization.
  • Present findings and author protocols and technical reports; develop processes to support in vivo testing.

What they ask for

  • PhD in a relevant discipline plus 1–2 years of relevant work, or an MS with 5 years of focused tLNP design experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, formulating, purifying, and characterizing targeted LNPs and conjugated lipids.
  • Working knowledge of conjugation chemistry, linker design, and biorthogonal or site-specific handles.
  • Practical purification and analytical characterization skills, including chromatography and methods such as LC-CAD, LC-UV, DLS, CE, bio-layer interferometry, and surface plasmon resonance.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with novel conjugation chemistries and reaction methods; targeting moiety optimization for immune or endothelial cells.
  • Exposure to scale-up, CMC, or CDMO tech transfer; data visualization and statistical analysis using R, Python, or JMP.
