About the job

Develops and scales vision-language-action models and the training, evaluation, and deployment systems that enable robots to perform physical tasks.

What you'll do

  • Train and improve models and policies for robotic manipulation and other embodied tasks, including developing architectures and training recipes.
  • Build scalable distributed training, data, experimentation, and evaluation pipelines; improve multi-node cluster performance.
  • Validate models on physical robots, diagnose failures, and translate research into production-quality systems; mentor engineers.

What they ask for

  • Five or more years of professional experience in machine learning, robotics, computer vision, or a closely related field, or equivalent demonstrated impact.
  • Strong experience training modern deep learning models with PyTorch, JAX, or a comparable framework.
  • Experience with distributed training pipelines on multi-GPU or multi-node accelerator clusters and with large-scale datasets and reproducible ML workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing vision-language-action, vision-language, or robotics foundation models.
  • Experience with imitation learning, reinforcement learning, behavior cloning, diffusion policies, or related robotics methods.

Tools

PyTorch, JAX, FSDP, ROS/ROS 2, MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo

AI focus

Develop and train vision-language-action models and learned control policies for robots, including multimodal pretraining, evaluation, and on-robot validation.
