About the job

Build and optimize robot and industrial-environment digital twins for robot learning, data generation, and policy evaluation, including measuring and reducing sim-to-real gaps.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain simulation-ready robot, tool, and scene assets, including collision geometry and automated asset workflows.
  • Measure physical and perception sim-to-real gaps using matched tests, then calibrate simulation models and visual assets.
  • Optimize simulation performance and develop programmable, randomized task environments for training and evaluation.

What they ask for

  • Experience building digital twins, simulation assets, or physically interactive environments for robotics, industrial simulation, or comparable applications.
  • Practical understanding of collision detection and contact modeling, and experience optimizing 3D assets and scenes for runtime use.
  • Hands-on experience with Isaac Sim, Omniverse, MuJoCo, or a comparable physics-based simulation platform; familiarity with USD and robot descriptions such as URDF, or equivalent formats and workflows.
  • Solid understanding of 3D geometry, coordinate transforms, rigid-body dynamics, and articulated systems; working understanding of simulation for robot learning and evaluation.

Nice to have

  • Experience with contact-rich manipulation, grasping, articulated mechanisms, or robotics simulation.
  • Experience with Isaac Lab, PhysX, scene generation, synthetic data pipelines, CAD conversion, photogrammetry, scene reconstruction, Blender, Houdini, or simulation for imitation or reinforcement learning.
