Associate Director, AI Foundations Engineering (3 Openings)

What you'll do

• Lead architecture, design, development, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of the agentic AI platform and solutions.
• Set technical roadmaps and engineering standards for performance, scalability, security, governance, and maintainability with cross-functional partners.
• Build and mentor engineering teams and advance reusable AI services, automation, and operational efficiency.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years building applications on large language models and at least one agentic system deployed beyond a demo.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents on AWS, including Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore or comparable approaches; proficiency with at least one agent framework.
• Strong Python skills and experience with AWS services used in agent architectures; experience with RAG, retrieval quality, tool use/function calling, evaluation, observability, and production hardening.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (a plus, not required).
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

$145,600 and $270,400 per year (base salary); $145,600.00 - $270,400.00 (base salary)
