About the job

Applies human and statistical genetics to discover therapeutic targets and develop genetically informed patient-selection strategies for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.

What you'll do

  • Analyze sequencing and other genomic data to identify disease-associated variants, genes, pathways, and targets.
  • Integrate genetic results with clinical and multi-omic data to inform target discovery, validation, and patient stratification.
  • Collaborate with research and clinical teams and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

What they ask for

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing whole exome/genome sequencing data, including quality control, annotation, filtering, association testing, and interpretation.
  • Strong understanding of human and statistical genetics, including rare-variant analysis and genotype-phenotype associations.
  • Experience integrating genomic data with clinical, molecular, or multi-omic datasets; proficiency in Python or R and Linux or Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of Git, collaborative coding, and reproducible research practices.

Nice to have

  • Postdoctoral research experience.
  • Experience applying human genetic evidence to target discovery, target validation, or drug development.
