Operate Nuro test vehicles in manual and autonomous modes, monitor safety systems, collect real-world driving data, and report feedback to engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Drive test vehicles for up to eight hours per day while following safety procedures and monitoring road and vehicle conditions.
- Collect driving data, document work, and provide feedback to engineers; troubleshoot issues with Mission Operations.
- Perform vehicle checks and basic upkeep, and report problems.
What they ask for
- Current valid California driver’s license held for the three years immediately preceding application, and must qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license where required.
- No more than one point or one non-major moving violation in the preceding three years; no DUI-related conviction or license suspension/revocation in the past 10 years; never at fault in an accident resulting in injury or death.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test following a conditional offer.
- Available five days per week on the fixed selected shift; able to drive safely for extended periods, communicate clearly, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
Pay
$27.25 per hour (base hourly rate); $27.25/hour (overnight shift pay)
