About the job

Develop and deploy machine-learning perception models for Nuro’s autonomous-driving stack, from proof of concept through on-road monitoring and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

  • Build and iterate on models for challenges such as detection with sensor fusion, tracking, fine-grained classification, and human intent understanding.
  • Develop training techniques and processes that use large-scale data while keeping onboard latency within deployable limits.
  • Support all stages of model development, including proof of concept, onboard deployment, and on-road performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

What they ask for

  • Recent experience applying state-of-the-art deep-learning techniques to autonomous-driving problems, such as modern object detection, sensor fusion, and multiple-task learning.
  • Strong machine-learning fundamentals and demonstrated experience building and expanding model architectures.
  • Strong software-engineering fundamentals and experience with both Python and C++.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying models in real-time environments and optimizing architectures for the accuracy-versus-compute tradeoff.
  • Experience productizing machine-learning models and supporting model-development infrastructure, including data, large-scale training, and evaluation.

Pay

$193,930.00 and $291,150.00/year (base salary)
