About the job

Develop and maintain compiler toolchains, libraries, and runtimes for Nuvacore processors, including backend support and performance optimization.

What you'll do

  • Build compiler backend support for Nuvacore’s ISA across GCC and/or LLVM.
  • Debug code-generation correctness issues and performance regressions; integrate upstream changes and contribute upstream.
  • Optimize system libraries and dynamic language environments, working with architects and performance engineers.

What they ask for

  • 15+ years of professional experience working on compiler internals in LLVM and/or GCC.
  • Strong understanding of compiler backend construction, including instruction selection, register allocation, instruction scheduling, and code generation.
  • Low-level programming experience targeting x86, ARM, or RISC-V; experience debugging functional and performance issues in complex systems.
  • Experience with modern automated software development methodologies and performance analysis of large-scale system applications, including JIT environments and multiple languages.

Nice to have

  • Upstream contributions to LLVM, GCC, or binutils; compiler optimization tuned to a specific microarchitecture.
  • Experience with simulators or instruction set simulators, toolchain bring-up for new silicon, or at a CPU or silicon design company.
