About the job
Builds planet-scale, crowdsourced maps from vehicle fleet data to support autonomous driving and driver-assistance systems.
What you'll do
- Develop scalable mapping, 3D reconstruction, pose-estimation, map-fusion, and change-detection systems and algorithms.
- Build C++ production systems and offline pipelines that convert fleet data into reliable map products.
- Create evaluation, visualization, debugging, and triage tools; work with autonomy teams to integrate and improve maps.
What they ask for
- Strong C++ programming skills and experience building production-quality software systems.
- A solid foundation in 3D computer vision, geometry, structure from motion, SLAM, pose estimation, or related areas.
- Experience with large-scale sensor data and robustness to noisy, dynamic, incomplete real-world data.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to reason about coordinate frames, calibration, uncertainty, optimization, and error propagation.
Nice to have
- Experience with mapping, localization, reconstruction, perception, or sensor-fusion systems for autonomous driving or advanced driver assistance systems.
- Background in large-scale or crowdsourced mapping, map fusion, change detection, map freshness, road topology, lane geometry, or semantic map generation.
