About the job

Design custom circuit IP and bring novel designs from simulation through test-chip validation, post-silicon characterization, and debug.

What you'll do

  • Design and optimize circuit IP, supporting architecture, schematic development, layout, and silicon validation.
  • Define test plans, lead test-chip bringup and characterization, and debug silicon issues against simulation.
  • Collaborate across teams and develop automation for simulation and data analysis.

What they ask for

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in transistor-level circuit design and validation.
  • Strong understanding of digital, or mixed-signal circuit design, synthesis, and timing; hands-on post-silicon bringup, lab measurements, and circuit debug.
  • Ability to analyze silicon data and communicate findings clearly; proficiency with scripting or data analysis tools such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.

Nice to have

  • Experience bringing up and characterizing custom IP on test chips; experience with voltage regulation, hardware security, or silicon monitor circuits.
  • Familiarity with ATE testing, test modes, and bench instrumentation; experience with statistical variation analysis and silicon-to-simulation correlation.
