About the job

Improves performance of physics, robotics, and computational-engineering simulations on NVIDIA platforms through benchmarking, profiling, optimization, and production code contributions.

What you'll do

  • Develop performance strategies, benchmarks, and models; profile applications from system architecture through GPU kernels to identify bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with partner developers to optimize algorithms, data structures, memory layouts, and parallel execution, and coordinate with NVIDIA engineering teams on platform bottlenecks.
  • Write and upstream production code and reference implementations, applying reinforcement learning, robotic kinematics, simulation setup, and validation knowledge.

What they ask for

  • Record of delivering large, reproducible performance improvements in production numerical, simulation, graphics, CAE, robotics, or scientific-computing systems.
  • Expert modern C++ and GPU parallel-programming ability.
  • Strong foundations in mathematics, physics, numerical methods, geometry, or performance modeling.

Nice to have

  • Deep experience with physics engines, numerical solvers, geometry processing, differentiable simulation, or large-scale batched simulation.
  • Experience with CUDA, Warp, Newton, PhysX, Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, JAX, or comparable accelerated-computing systems.

Pay

224,000 USD - 356,500 USD (base salary, Level 5); 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD (base salary, Level 6)
