About the job
Develop and integrate system simulation models and software to evaluate CPU architectures and run complex CPU/GPU workloads.
What you'll do
- Develop full-system functional models for heterogeneous workloads, with a focus on the CPU subsystem, and integrate them with RTL simulators, emulators, hardware-in-the-loop, and performance models.
- Bring up and adapt firmware, Linux, drivers, benchmarks, and CPU/GPU workloads in simulation and emulation.
- Support CPU architects and performance engineers in using models and emulation to develop next-generation CPU architectures.
What they ask for
- BS/MS in EE, CE, or CS, or equivalent experience
- Excellent C/C++/Python programming skills
- Experience developing functional simulators and/or low-level software (OS, firmware, drivers); preferably both
- Experience with the ARM ISA
Nice to have
- Experience with hardware emulators and/or FPGAs
- CPU workload analysis (SimPoint, etc.), Linux kernel bringup and debug, CUDA, or CPU/GPU application development and optimization in Pytorch, TensorFlow, and similar frameworks
Pay
184,000 USD - 287,500 USD base salary (Level 4); 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD base salary (Level 5)
Tools
C/C++, Python, ARM ISA, RTL, Linux, CUDA, Pytorch, TensorFlow
AI focus
The role simulates and evaluates CPU/GPU workloads, including deep-learning workloads; NVIDIA also states that it uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
