About the job

Develop and optimize SoC system software and firmware for O-RAN and cellular infrastructure, improving power efficiency and performance across 5G and emerging 6G workloads.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize power-management policies and system performance across SoC subsystems; analyze RU and DU workloads to identify bottlenecks.
  • Develop models, measurement tools, benchmarks, and automated tests; validate performance through simulation, emulation, prototyping, and silicon.
  • Evaluate systems against O-RAN and cellular-interface requirements and inform future SoC, platform, and cellular-software architectures.

What they ask for

  • Experience developing and debugging software for complex SoCs or embedded platforms; strong C or C++ and Python or comparable scripting skills.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware-software interaction, operating-system internals, Linux kernel development, and performance measurement and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of SoC power management and cellular infrastructure/RAN architecture.
  • Knowledge of relevant 5G/evolving 6G interfaces and standards, such as 3GPP NR interfaces and protocols, O-RAN Open Fronthaul, or eCPRI.

Nice to have

  • Direct O-RAN RU or DU software development or optimization experience; familiarity with O-RAN Alliance specifications.
  • Experience with DPDK, accelerated networking, SR-IOV, RDMA, SmartNICs, DPUs, GPUs, or baseband accelerators.
