Sr. Category Manager, Technology Sourcing

What you'll do

• Develop technology category strategies and lead end-to-end sourcing, including RFx events, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost optimization, analyze supplier proposals and risks, and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, brief leadership on category performance, and mentor junior sourcing staff.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Technology Sourcing and Procurement, including category management, strategic sourcing, vendor management, risk management, and/or procurement in a large, global company environment.
• Ability to independently lead complex negotiations and high-value or high-risk sourcing projects with minimal oversight; strong understanding of technology contract law, commercial terms, and risk requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in sourcing and contract systems, such as Workday Strategic Sourcing/Scout, Coupa, or Ironclad.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CPIM.
• Experience with M&A-related sourcing, scaled process or policy improvements, analytics/reporting, or ERP and financial systems.

Pay

$130,000 — $178,000 USD annual base salary (San Francisco Bay Area); $116,000 — $160,000 USD annual base salary (California excluding San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington)
