Leads mechanical motor design and prototype development for advanced robotic systems, from concept and CAD through hands-on builds, validation, and repeatable low-volume production.
What you'll do
- Own stator and rotor designs, CAD, drawings, interfaces, tolerances, and mechanical validation.
- Develop motor components and fixtures; build, troubleshoot, and improve prototypes and manufacturing methods.
- Establish repeatable low-volume builds with tooling, work instructions, revision control, traceability, and acceptance checks.
Nice to have
- Experience designing and building motors, actuators, or precision electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience with lamination stacks, winding, insulation interfaces, CAD, tolerance analysis, fixture design, metrology, or prototype manufacturing.
