About the job

Leads the design, validation, and contract-manufacturer deployment of precision PCBA test fixtures and infrastructure for robotic systems.

What you'll do

  • Own mechanical architecture and design of PCBA test stations, fixtures, and interchangeable tooling.
  • Build, test, and debug fixtures; establish acceptance checks for alignment, force, repeatability, wear, and safe operation.
  • Manage fabrication partners and deploy fixtures at contract manufacturers, providing documentation, training, and troubleshooting.

What they ask for

  • Independently deliver precision-fixture or equipment projects from ambiguous requirements through design, fabrication, validation, and sustained use.
  • Strong 3D CAD and released-drawing skills, including fabrication and assembly packages, bills of materials, and revision control.
  • Strong fundamentals in GD&T, tolerance analysis, locating schemes, stiffness, compliance, contact forces, and load paths.
  • Hands-on fabrication-partner collaboration, fixture assembly and measurement, failure diagnosis, hardware iteration, and acceptance-check execution.

Nice to have

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • PCBA test-fixture experience; ESD-aware tooling, thermal interfaces, actuated fixtures, interlocks, or structural and thermal simulation; NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.
