About the job

Architects, designs, and integrates SoC subsystems and platform infrastructure for OpenAI’s first-party AI accelerators, from requirements and RTL through validation and silicon bring-up.

What you'll do

  • Define SoC architectures and implement RTL for processor, interconnect, peripheral, I/O, and platform subsystems.
  • Integrate processor and third-party IP, and drive boot, reset, debug, test, security, and I/O requirements through validation and silicon bring-up.
  • Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and vendor teams; build automation and AI-assisted tools for design and integration.

What they ask for

  • Experience in SoC architecture, RTL design, and subsystem or full-chip integration, including implementation and silicon bring-up.
  • Familiarity with Arm Cortex-M and Cortex-A processors and AMBA protocols such as AXI and APB.
  • Understanding of PCIe and experience integrating or debugging controller IP.
  • Comfort writing and debugging Verilog/SystemVerilog and building scripts or tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating high-speed I/O, including SerDes/PHY interfaces and die-to-die links.
  • Experience working with third-party IP vendors and with reset/boot, debug, test, or security design.
