Staff / Principal Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop recommendation, freight-matching, and operational decision systems, and connect them to measurable customer outcomes.
• Build production AI workflows and dependable logistics data pipelines and integrations.
• Guide architecture and engineering practices, ship production code, and mentor engineers.

What they ask for

• Demonstrated ownership of significant systems or initiatives at Staff or Principal scope.
• High proficiency in Python, Ruby, or TypeScript, with backend, API, distributed-systems, and failure-handling expertise.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, indexing, performance, migrations, and data integrity.
• Shipped AI or data-driven products, with experience evaluating quality and handling uncertainty.

Nice to have

• Experience with freight brokerage, carrier operations, dispatch, transportation management systems, or geospatial data.
• Experience with recommendation systems or platform modernization.
