About the job
Designs, operates, and optimizes the global network infrastructure that supports Optiver’s low-latency trading systems and market connectivity.
What you'll do
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network infrastructure, including data center, colocation, LAN, and WAN networks.
- Design and improve colocations and connectivity; support maintenance, migrations, expansions, and hardware and software upgrades.
- Plan network capacity, optimize traffic flows, improve automation, and reduce technical debt and complexity.
What they ask for
- Strong network performance monitoring skills and knowledge of network capacity planning.
- Experience across LAN and global WAN networks.
- Deep understanding and experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and network protocols such as Multicast, Spanning Tree, and HSRP.
- Experience troubleshooting TCP/UDP transport protocols and networking monitoring and alerting systems.
Nice to have
- Cisco and Arista network equipment experience.
- Network automation experience and strong Python scripting experience.
