Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Product)

What you'll do

• Design and deliver AI-backed features and systems using LLMs, retrieval, and structured data.
• Improve AI output quality through evaluation, user feedback, and experimentation.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and model effective use of AI-assisted development tools.

What they ask for

• 5+ years building and scaling product-facing systems.
• Track record of owning complex features or product areas end-to-end.
• Writes clean, maintainable code; Python preferred, with architecture and design skills across a modern web stack.
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered systems, or ability to ramp quickly and contribute to shaping their production behavior.

Nice to have

• Experience building or experimenting with LLM-powered features, including prompting, evaluation, or RAG.
• Exposure to user feedback loops, experimentation, or evaluation frameworks.

Pay

$185,000 to $230,000 USD per year (base salary)
