Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Infrastructure)

What you'll do

• Design and drive scalable infrastructure architecture and backend systems.
• Build and maintain Python services and business logic, integrating databases and AI components.
• Partner with AI teams on data pipelines, model deployment, and backend support for AI-enabled features.

What they ask for

• Strong expertise in databases, distributed systems, backend performance optimization, and machine-learning infrastructure requirements.
• Experience designing databases, including internals, transactions, indexing, and schemas for AI data workloads.
• Expert proficiency in Python or another listed language; extensive experience with web frameworks such as Django and database technologies.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on AWS; substantial production server experience or equivalent backend expertise.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HTTP, networking principles, and API design patterns.
• Experience with Linux and how operating systems interact with AI applications and services.

Pay

$210,000 to $275,000 USD per year (base salary)
