About the job
Designs and validates fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing stations that enable Oura Rings to be assembled consistently at mass-production scale.
What you'll do
- Develop fixture and jig concepts from product CAD, including datums, locating schemes, and strategies for all 10 ring sizes.
- Lead fixture and station development with contract manufacturers and equipment vendors, including tolerance analysis, design reviews, and CAD documentation.
- Support station buy-off and process qualification, owning fixture and station acceptance criteria.
What they ask for
- 5+ years in fixture, tooling, automation, or manufacturing design engineering for precision consumer hardware, wearables, medical devices, or optics.
- Designed fixtures, jigs, carriers, and stations used by a contract manufacturer at mass-production scale, including variant changeover.
- SolidWorks or NX CAD experience with strong surfacing skills; strong GD&T, datum design, and tolerance stack-up skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 30 percent, including internationally to manufacturing partner sites in Asia.
Nice to have
- Experience with wearable, miniaturized, or high-precision consumer electronics with variant configurations.
