Develops and qualifies battery cells, suppliers, assembly processes, automation, and cell-to-pack integration for Oura products.
What you'll do
- Define and optimize battery cell, assembly, and integration processes with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and qualify battery suppliers and equipment manufacturers, and bring assembly lines from specification through production ramp.
- Use data to guide process decisions, resolve production issues, and influence product and industrial design.

- 3+ years of direct experience in a battery or electromechanical manufacturing environment in a relevant engineering or equivalent role.
- Experience with lithium-ion or lithium-polymer cell design, fabrication, and/or battery pack assembly and integration.
- Experience qualifying global suppliers’ manufacturing processes from NPI to Mass Production.
- Experience bringing up and qualifying automated battery assembly lines and manufacturing equipment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with battery safety and regulatory standards such as UN38.3, IEC 62133, or UL 1642/2054.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; effective communication with leadership and cross-functional partners.

$151,300 - $203,000 USD base salary
