About the job

Leads the experimental biology feedback loop for Output’s models, translating biological problems into experiments, data and modeling priorities, and workflows.

What you'll do

  • Design experiments and manage CRO partners for synthesis, assays and testing; interpret results and feed findings back into model development.
  • Translate biological requirements and experimental findings into priorities for data construction, modeling and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, model and data teams to build biology-specific tools and workflows that automate experimental decision-making.

What they ask for

  • PhD in computational biology, biophysics, structural biology, molecular biology, or a related biological field.
  • Deep understanding of protein biology, protein-ligand interactions, and sequence/structure relationships to biological function.
  • Experience designing biological experiments and working with CROs for synthesis and experimental validation.
  • Experience with protein language models or machine learning applied to biological sequences and structures; strong Python programming skills.

Nice to have
