Build backend services, APIs, and integrations that connect Overland AI’s autonomous vehicles with command-and-control platforms, enabling operators to coordinate missions using real-time data.
What you'll do
- Build services that ingest, transform, and publish telemetry, tracks, and tasking messages; develop REST and streaming APIs.
- Integrate with external C2 systems by mapping data models and protocols, and ensure services handle degraded networks and high message rates.
- Build integration test harnesses and simulators, and support field tests, customer demos, and integration events.

- Expert-level Python experience, including asyncio and typing; production API experience with FastAPI.
- Experience integrating with TAK systems, working directly with Cursor on Target, and integrating with other C2 systems; proficiency in C++, Go, or Rust.
- Understanding of TCP/UDP, multicast, TLS, and serialization formats such as XML, Protobuf, or JSON.
Nice to have
- Experience with message brokers or pub/sub systems, ATAK plugin development, Anduril Lattice, or ROS/ROS2.
- Experience deploying services with Docker and Kubernetes, including on edge hardware.
