About the job
Develop networking software across Oxide’s rack-scale hardware and software stack, including its integrated switch, compute sled, and network analysis tools.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with systems engineers to understand customer use cases and implement the Oxide platform.
- Build and integrate networking across the switch, compute sled, and software stack; develop tools to simulate and analyze networks.
- Write open-source networking code across multiple codebases using Rust, C, and some P4.
What they ask for
- Prior experience with Rust or another low-level systems language such as C.
- Deep understanding of load balancing.
- Experience operating and developing IPsec-based VPN technologies.
- Experience implementing networking protocols in performance- and correctness-constrained environments.
Nice to have
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating data center networks using dynamic routing protocols and overlay networks, including BGP.
- Good documentation or written descriptions of ideas.
