Principal Software Engineer - ADEM Agent (Client/Endpoint Focus)

What you'll do

• Define the Agent’s architecture and lead design reviews for performance, security, availability, and resource efficiency.
• Improve telemetry collection and processing, including low-latency encrypted transfer and resilience in disconnected or low-bandwidth environments.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical responses to systemic endpoint stability and performance issues.

What they ask for

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial work designing and operating complex, resource-constrained client-side or endpoint software at scale.
• Expertise using AI-powered development tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot, to accelerate development and automate refactoring and testing.
• Track record shipping production software for multiple operating systems, with deep knowledge of OS internals, L3-L7 networking stacks, and system performance tuning.
• Rust or Go (Golang) coding experience for high-performance client development is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of endpoint security mechanisms, Zero Trust, networking interception, and encryption; experience with secure, efficient agent data collection and transfer.
• Open-source contributions or industry conference speaking; preference for C/C++ coding.

Pay

$147,000.00 - $237,500.00/yr (base salary; annual range; USD)
