About the job

Research scalable general models trained on large-scale video and other data, with the goal of enabling robots to learn from and act in the real world.

What you'll do

  • Scale simple modeling methods across video games, real-world video, and data from the company’s robot fleet.
  • Train and evaluate large models, using accurate metrics to understand the effects of research interventions.
  • Explore research areas such as pre-training, reinforcement learning, robotics models, and sequence modeling.

What they ask for

  • Experience in at least one area: large-scale pre-training; self-supervised, goal-conditioned, or unsupervised RL; robotics models; or video generation and large-scale sequence modeling.
  • Experience training models on large GPU clusters.
  • Comfort working with Kubernetes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with JAX.
  • Interest in adjacent research areas such as new modalities, alternatives to text for reasoning, pixel-space modeling, or research automation; or a strong background in proof-based mathematics.

Tools

Kubernetes, JAX

AI focus

Develop general models that learn from internet-scale video and other large datasets, with the aim of enabling robots to act in the real world.
