Experience
Typically, 7+ years; experience in RAN, modem/PHY, or wireless systems is an advantage.
Education
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with substantial relevant industry experience.

About the job

Lead development of a multi-RAT RAN digital twin that runs production software in closed-loop simulations to support feature development, testing, performance evaluation, and AI/ML validation.

What you'll do

  • Own the architecture and roadmap for a modular RAN digital twin and integrate production MAC and scheduler software into closed-loop simulations.
  • Model RAN components and scenarios, and build reproducible experiments, automated tests, and simulation validation practices.
  • Develop and evaluate AI/ML-based RAN capabilities and improve simulation speed, scale, and usability.

What they ask for

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with substantial relevant industry experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of hands-on experience in communication systems, system development, integration, or simulation.
  • Demonstrated experience building or validating link-level, system-level, or hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
  • Strong programming skills in C or C++ and Python, including integrating production native code with simulation and analysis tools.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience developing or evaluating machine-learning models for communications, signal processing, time-series data, or related domains using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or an equivalent framework.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Communications/LTE/5G toolboxes or equivalent PHY simulation environments.

Tools

C/C++, Python, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, MATLAB, PyTorch, TensorFlow

AI focus

Develop and evaluate AI/ML-based RAN capabilities, including neural channel estimation, learned link adaptation or scheduling policies, and ML-based PHY or channel surrogates; assess accuracy, robustness, generalization, latency, and compute cost.
