Sr. Legal Counsel - Commercial

What you'll do

• Draft and negotiate complex multinational merchant, marketplace, and partner agreements; coordinate deal strategy across teams.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice, resolve high-stakes legal issues, and manage legal risks while supporting business strategy.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and deliver effective legal services across the enterprise.

What they ask for

• 8+ years relevant experience and a Juris doctorate degree, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years managing large deal closings involving interrelated agreements, triggers, and stakeholder requirements.
• Experience directly negotiating complex sales, marketing, or partner agreements with external parties.
• Exceptional writing skills; experience working with multiple client-side stakeholders and navigating legal, compliance, and business needs.

Nice to have

• Hands-on counsel experience with financial services, fintech, or technology companies; experience in payments.
• Knowledge of technology, licensing, payment/financial services, and related risk and regulatory issues.

Pay
