VP, Legal Counsel, CFS, Credit & Venmo

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the legal team; advise senior business leaders on strategy, product development, and regulatory matters.
• Provide legal guidance on consumer financial services, lending, Venmo products, compliance, and regulatory engagement.
• Develop legal support models and strategically manage outside counsel, budgets, and AI-based workflow improvements.

What they ask for

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission in good standing to a state bar.
• 15+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial time in a senior executive or leadership role.
• Deep expertise in consumer financial services, credit and lending, and Venmo or an analogous high-scale consumer payments platform.
• Experience advising on product development and launches in FinTech, banking, or financial services, and engaging directly with regulators.

Nice to have

• MBA or LLM.
• Familiarity with card network and ACH rules, data privacy laws for financial institutions, BNPL, or executive work in a large, matrixed FinTech or financial services organization.

USD 250,000.00 - 360,000.00 annually (base pay) for New York City, New York; USD 250,000.00 - 360,000.00 annually (base pay) for San Jose, California; USD 250,000.00 - 360,000.00 annually (base pay) for Chicago, Illinois; USD 250,000.00 - 360,000.00 annually (base pay) for Washington DC, District of Columbia
