Member of Technical Staff (ML Engineer, Recommendations & User Modeling)

What you'll do

• Own personalization and ranking for key product surfaces and improve core user and business metrics.
• Build user models and decision systems that tailor experiences to user intent and preferences.
• Develop data and evaluation foundations for continual improvement, and help set technical direction.

What they ask for

• Deep, hands-on experience building production recommendation, ranking, or personalization systems at scale.
• Strong ML fundamentals, including engagement modeling, model calibration, offline and online metrics, and online experimentation.
• Experience integrating LLMs into ranking, retrieval, or personalization pipelines.
• Judgment about personalization in an LLM-native product and curiosity about reimagining it from first principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale ranking and training infrastructure, such as multi-stage retrieval and ranking, feature stores, or real-time serving.
• Background in user understanding, feed ranking, notifications, growth, or lifecycle modeling.

Pay

$220K – $405K (base salary)
