About the job

Build and optimize reliable, low-latency software systems for remote robot teleoperation and real-world deployments.

What you'll do

  • Develop precise teleoperation interfaces and improve their performance on weak networks.
  • Profile and optimize system performance and real-time video streaming across compute, networking, and other system components.
  • Build tools to debug timing and reliability issues, and collaborate with research, hardware, and operations teams on production integration.

What they ask for

  • Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, or Python, with experience building and optimizing production software.
  • Background in real-time or near-real-time systems, VR/AR, video pipelines, 3D engines, or streaming systems with strict latency budgets.
  • Ability to optimize across the stack, including drivers, networking, compute workloads, video frameworks, and distributed components.
  • Experience with profiling tools and complex performance debugging.

Nice to have

  • Experience with robot teleoperation systems, VR/AR platforms, or low-latency 3D engines.
  • Camera systems, streaming/video conferencing, robotics or autonomous systems, or distributed real-time data-flow experience.

Tools

C++, Rust, Python, perf, eBPF, WebRTC

AI focus
