About the job
Own and mature Plaid’s security compliance program, audits, governance, and product-integrated controls, scaling the work with AI and automation.
What you'll do
- Lead SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701 programs and recurring governance obligations; build the roadmap, KPIs, and control catalog.
- Plan risk-based internal audits, oversee policy assurance and remediation, and partner with Finance on ITGCs and SOX.
- Work with Product and Engineering to include compliance in product changes, and create AI-driven automation for evidence, testing, scoping, and audit requests.

- Owned SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001/27701 programs through multiple audit cycles, including roadmap and KPI development.
- Hands-on FedRAMP (Rev5 or 20x) experience, including NIST 800-53 implementation, boundary and SSP documentation, third-party assessment, and continuous monitoring.
- Experience with risk-based internal audits, policy adherence, remediation, and ITGCs and SOX.
- Experience with product-aware compliance, recurring governance obligations, and AI workflows or automations that materially reduce manual compliance work.
Nice to have
- Experience with EU financial-services obligations such as DORA, central bank IT and cyber assessments, or FCA reporting; or bank-consortium assessments such as TruSight.
Pay
$141,120 – $259,200 (base salary)
