About the job
Oversee PlanetScale’s FedRAMP certification and manage its ongoing audit and compliance programs, including SOC 1, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
What you'll do
- Lead FedRAMP readiness and the authorization to operate (ATO) process.
- Coordinate audits and assessments, including preparation, evidence review, procedure evaluation, and auditor walkthroughs.
- Track compliance metrics and collaborate across teams to assess risks, implement controls, and address gaps.
What they ask for
- 5+ years contributing to or managing technology-sector audits, including demonstrable FedRAMP expertise.
- Experience with SOC 2 and the PCI Data Security Standard as a contributor or control owner.
- Experience managing external auditors, consultants, and legal affairs.
- Experience contributing to or managing companywide risk assessments; knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Nice to have
- CISSP preferred (CISA, or CISM).
- Working knowledge of SQL, preferably MySQL and/or PostgreSQL; experience with databases, developer tools, infrastructure, or other technical products.
