Leads Posh’s data and ML function, overseeing discovery and search, experimentation, and the data platform while remaining hands-on in technical work.
What you'll do
- Translate product goals into data and ML roadmaps; lead and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Guide ranking, recommendation, classification, and search systems, and strengthen experimentation and measurement.
- Scale data and ML infrastructure and lead AI-native analytics tools, including a semantic layer, text-to-SQL, MCP, and agentic analytics.

- 10+ years in data, including 3+ years managing DS, ML, and/or DE teams at a high-growth consumer or marketplace company.
- Former Staff-level IC with strong technical judgment in model reviews, experiment readouts, and architecture discussions.
- Deep expertise in either causal inference or recommendation/ranking systems, and credible expertise in the other.
- Experience turning ambiguous product goals into technical roadmaps that shaped critical decisions.
Nice to have
- Built a semantic layer or AI evaluation frameworks in production.
