Machine Learning Scientist, Pretraining

What you'll do

• Design and develop autoregressive, diffusion, and representation-learning models for protein design.
• Build and optimize infrastructure for pretraining protein language models, and curate datasets and evaluation tasks.
• Collaborate across machine-learning and protein-design teams; analyze results and present findings.

What they ask for

• PhD or equivalent industry experience in a related field.
• Experience conceiving, implementing, and evaluating novel machine-learning and pretraining approaches for large-scale LLMs or other biomolecular models.
• Publications at named major ML conferences or scientific journals, or experience pretraining LLMs at frontier AI/ML labs.
• Experience with modern deep-learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Jax.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with protein and nucleic-acid biology or experience developing protein ML models.
• Experience with cloud compute, bioinformatics data curation, or wet-lab assays.
