Legal Specialist – IP Operations

What you'll do

• Prepare, review, file, and maintain U.S., PCT, and foreign patent documents and correspondence.
• Maintain patent records and docket information, monitor deadlines, and produce docket and status reports.
• Coordinate with attorneys, outside counsel, and foreign associates; support filing compliance and process-improvement initiatives.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in the legal field and 1+ year of industry-specific legal experience; OR Paralegal Certificate and 2+ years of experience in the legal field and 1+ year of industry-specific legal experience; OR High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in the legal field and 4+ years of industry-specific legal experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to understand and apply patent prosecution procedures, department processes, and legal requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate professionally.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. and international patent prosecution and using patent docketing or records management systems.
• Familiarity with USPTO Patent Center, ePCT, patent filing tools, and Microsoft Excel.
