PMIC Reference HW Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design customer reference boards and evaluation kits, coordinating with PMIC designers and test hardware teams to optimize performance and cost.
• Develop and publish PMIC PCB guidelines, schematics, and BOM selections; work with CAD engineers on PCB layout.
• Run board-level Power Integrity and Signal Integrity simulations, review and sign off on designs, and characterize reference components in the lab.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant engineering work experience; or master's and 4+ years; or PhD and 2+ years.
• 2+ years of academic or professional experience using one or more of: IC design tools, PCB design tools, SPICE, MATLAB, Verilog/VHDL, C, Python.
• Experience in Power Management (SMPS, LDO, battery chargers, Clocks, ADC) PCB design and component selection, including CAD interface.
• Able to work with common lab test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and network and impedance analyzers.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of mobile phone or similar product experience in power systems, power grid analysis and design, hardware or PMIC transistor-level design, or design/development of design tools and test automation tools.
• Experience with high-layer-count multilayer boards (6/8/10 layers) and Signal and Power Integrity simulators such as powerSI, SIWave, Ansys.

Pay

$141,300.00 - $211,900.00 USD base salary
