About the job

Research and develop quantum applications for neutral-atom quantum computers by exploring, modeling, and testing approaches at the intersection of theory and hardware.

What you'll do

  • Map quantum simulation algorithms for strongly correlated spin and fermionic problems onto logical microarchitectures.
  • Develop scalable, hardware-aware resource estimation tools for complex quantum workloads.
  • Model noise to refine digital hardware twins.

What they ask for

  • Solid background in quantum computing and quantum information processing.
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. program in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field; programming skills and experience with quantum circuit simulation SDKs (e.g., cirq or Qiskit, stim).
  • Experience with AI coding agents, resource estimation frameworks (e.g., Qualtran), or familiarity with neutral atom quantum computing hardware and AMO physics.

Tools

cirq, Qiskit, stim, Claude Code, Cursor, Qualtran

AI focus

Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor in a research or development workflow (preferred).
