About the job
Builds, assembles, installs, and maintains laser and optical subsystems across QuEra’s machine platforms and sites.
What you'll do
- Assemble optical subsystems, including free-space optics and PM fiber signal chains, and prepare builds for shipment.
- Install, integrate, align, and verify laser systems across optical tables, rack enclosures, and custom hardware.
- Document builds, support troubleshooting and maintenance, and improve assembly procedures and tooling.

- Advanced PM fiber-splicing expertise, including fusion splicing, PM axis alignment, loss measurement, and splicer qualification.
- Broader fiber-optic proficiency, including connectorization, FC/APC/PC polishing, fiber routing, and power measurement.
- S., B.S., or equivalent hands-on technical training in optics, photonics, precision assembly, or a related field.
Nice to have
