Senior Applied AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Build, ship, and maintain internal AI tools and features from idea through production.
• Design and deploy LLM and agentic systems, including retrieval, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation, with appropriate guardrails.
• Partner with teams across the company, create reusable components and infrastructure, and mentor teammates.

What they ask for

• Deep software-engineering expertise and a track record of shipping and operating production software at scale, primarily in Python.
• Substantial hands-on experience building LLM applications, including agent design, tool/function calling, MCP-based integrations, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation.
• Proven experience with agentic systems or agentic coding workflows, designing or integrating agents that safely act on real systems.
• Ability to design systems others can build on and deliver end to end across backend services, APIs, light front-end, and deployment.

Nice to have

• LLMOps/MLOps, data and ML engineering, or model fine-tuning/adaptation experience.
• Experience with front-end tools, coding agents, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tooling, or scientific, hardware, or lab-automation environments.

Pay

$175,000 - $210,000 USD base salary
