About the job

Build and own a fast modeling and simulation tool that characterizes electrical behavior in logic cells and proprietary blocks, produces library files, and exposes data to downstream users and tools.

What you'll do

  • Build scalable characterization tooling and distribute circuit-simulation jobs across compute resources.
  • Produce and validate library files for downstream timing and signoff tools.
  • Balance runtime and precision, and collaborate with optimization and machine learning engineers on data and interfaces.

What they ask for

  • At least 3 years of EDA or CAD engineering experience centered on cell characterization, including building characterization tools.
  • Prior R&D work on a commercial characterization product at a leading EDA vendor.
  • Thorough understanding of timing, power, and noise characterization methods, and a solid background with industry-standard circuit simulators.
  • Willingness to work on-site 4 days per week and authorization to work in the US.

Nice to have

  • Prior startup experience or an appetite for joining a young company.
  • Experience using machine learning or surrogate models to speed up characterization.
